Askar 65PHQ Petzval Design
The Askar 65PHQ is a flatfield astrograph telescope designed for astrophotography out of the box. With its Petzval optical design, this telescope is fully corrected and provides a flat field capable of covering full frame sensors all without the need for an additional flattener. The Petzval design also allows you to connect a camera, filter wheel or filter drawer, and other accessories without having to worry about back focus.
Building on the success of the PHQ series, the 65PHQ is the smallest telescope in the line, which includes the 80PHQ, 107PHQ, 130PHQ, and 151PHQ models. All PHQ telescopes feature a Petzval design with two ED elements to eliminate chromatic aberration. Unlike other telescopes in the PHQ line, the 65PHQ uses a quintuplet (5-element) APO lens arrangement instead of the quadruplet design found on the other telescopes.
